On July 25th, my company, rewardStyle turned three years old. To celebrate, rS threw a huge boat party. We all came to work in the morning and had our usual morning meetings and worked until around noon. They catered in lunch and then loaded everyone up on buses to go to Lake Lewisville. I apologize in advance for the filters on the pictures in this post, most of them came from Instagram.
The bus ended up getting lost a couple of times. we ended up being on the bus for over an hour before the driver found the right dock. Oops.
Our boat was a huge catamaran that we rented for the day. rS provided all of the beer, liquor, snacks, and food we could ever want – along with bartenders. We loaded the huge coolers onto the boat and set sail.
Along with commemorative t-shirts, we also got a bunch of fun temporary tattoos to play with. Jason had three or so fun designs, but I only seemed to get pictures of the most popular one.
On the boat we played drinking games and golfed off the back. There was a DJ, too. Time really flew though. It seemed like we had only just started when it was time to pack up and head in. Altogether the party was about three or four hours, though.
The boat party was a ton of fun. I love that my company has such fun events for us. This Friday there is another fun work event coming up: The Texas State Fair! Can’t wait.
