I was going to write something about the 4th of July to kick this post off, but it was fairly uneventful. Jenny went to have lunch with her daughter because it was her birthday and I read outside by the pool and got sunburned a bit. I didn’t take too many photos that day, because we didn’t end up going to see the fireworks like we planned. Later on in the day, we went to Taylor’s 4th of July pool party (where Jenny was the only female and all of the guys were more interested in me haha).
We ended up drinking and eating and drinking some more and then just got into the hot tub and then into the pool and before we knew it, the fireworks were starting. We did see a nice show right from the pool, but I didn’t take any photos. Here’s a Happy 4th of July snapchat Jenny suggested we take to send to my parents and sister, though.
The following day, we went to the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. It was a bit of a drive, but totally worth it. It was very beautiful, and they had a full Japanese garden, too. There were several different gardens (rose garden, cactus garden, etc.) Here are some pictures I snapped as we walked through:
I got a lot of good shots walking through the gardens and it was a beautiful day to go. This post is mostly pictures, but there are a lot of exciting posts to look forward to (I’m super behind in blogging). Things coming soon: getting my Texas driver’s license, Winstar World Casino, The Neighbourhood Concert, the rewardStyle boat party, Lakewood Brewery, and a lot more!
