It’s been a while since an update, because I’ve been busy with school and work and all that stuff. So – what’s new: A bunch of snow got dropped on Eau Claire starting December 1st, and it looks like it’s here to say. Weather says: “Happy December.” Sure would be nice if my 8am class got cancelled tomorrow because of it.
Here’s how my parking ticket hearing went:
Drew: “I wasn’t parked illegally.”
Head of Parking: “Yes you were.”
Drew: “No I wasn’t.”
Head of Parking: “You must have been.”
Drew: shows picture of my car parked legally at time of ticketing
Head of Parking: “That could have been taken at any time.”
Drew: “I’m not paying for parking legally. I already did that – It’s called a parking permit.”
Head of Parking: “Well, yes you are. And that’s all I’m going to say on the matter.”
Then, I had to give a presentation on my penpals for Japanese class. Went well, I had fun.
Work has been going good. Speaking of work, I wrote down the wrong times last week for work and so I was settling in on Monday afternoon, expecting to work on some homework and relax when I get a call from my boss asking where I am. Turns out I was supposed to work all of that day and then the next day, rather than have Monday off and work Tuesday and Wednesday. So, I went in. Yep, kinda ruined the day and I lost an hour off my week, but it all worked out I suppose. Because now I don’t have any work tomorrow and I can participate in that experiment I wanted to do. I recently bought Stephen Colbert’s I Am America (And So Can You!) for $13 (half off! Love my discount).
Not to mention the book was also amazing. I highly recommend it. Now, I’m reading 2001: A Space Odyssey – it’s super good! I’m flying through it, I just started yesterday but my ETUF (Estimated Time Until Finish) is tomorrow.
I’ve been thinking lately that maybe if I’m not planning on going to Graduate/Medical school to become a full Psychologist/Psychiatrist, maybe I should pursue a different major. If I’m minoring in Japanese, business would be a wise choice for a major and they would work quite well. All just an idea at the moment, of course I would love to be a Psychologist, but it’s quite a lot of extra schooling. Nothing I’m all too thrilled to do.
I got back from work tonight and of course the lots were full. Had to park at the top of the hill. The hill was closed for sledding and snowboarding – guess that hill is good for something after all.
