The last day of finals is over. Wednesday and Thursday were mostly easy, I only worked one day and no finals. We did Shanghai Bistro on Wednesday, and it was great. Next semester Larry, Mike and I will be getting gym passes for the gym on top of the hill.
Math final was a lot easier than I thought it would be. It only took me an hour and I know I got all of them right because it was all multiple choice and all my answers were on the list. Well, I’m fairly certain anyways – I knew how to do each problem. Guess I did learn something after all. The final wasn’t nearly as hard as the unit tests, there weren’t many trick problems – they were all simple problems of all the things we covered to see if we knew how to do each thing. After the test, I got back the last worksheet: 24/25. Math 104, successfully completed!
Japanese was an oral interview. Mike and I were partners for the role-play. We were given four scenarios and told we would be assigned two at the examination to act out. There isn’t a script, you just go with the scenario. Mike and I practiced conversations where I always started the conversation. Little did we know that she would pick which one of us started the conversation. Both times we each got the opposite role we practiced for. Somehow, we made it through. The grades posted were pretty good for the classes. Grades posted so far: Phil 120 – C, Math 104 – B, Psych 101 – A. Japanese is at an A without the final. Hist 124 still unknown.
After finals, Mike and I went to eat. Mike showed me a really funny website: http://www.angryalien.com – it’s a bunch of flash cartoons that re-enact popular movies in thirty seconds. They’re all really funny. After that, I had to go and return my textbooks. And after that I had to go cash my checks and finish up Christmas shopping. I’m all about finished, just one more gift to get tomorrow.
Well then, happy break. After I got done shopping I met up with Veronica and we exchanged gifts (mostly – her other gift won’t arrive until Thursday). I gave her a cat calendar and a stuffed miniature bear. She gave me this ring:
Which reminds me – today marks the 85th day of “A Picture A Day.” After gifts (Bryan and I exchange ours tomorrow before we go to work. I put his gifts under my mini-tree which I wish I would have remembered to do for Veronica’s. Of course gifts should go under the tree!) we went out to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings. I haven’t been there in a while and it was pretty great. The waiter was friendly, we even got a fifty percent discount because our food was a few minutes late.
