Christmas 2007

Posted on Thursday December 27, 2007 at 1:00am in ,

Merry Christmas! Hope you all had a good one. This Christmas was great for me. On Christmas Eve after work, I packed up most of my stuff and came back to my parents’ house. We ordered Domino’s pizza, opened gifts, and then watched Hot Rod (Which was one of my gifts). I love Hot Rod, it’s such a funny movie! Another gift I got from my parents was a set of new Logitech Speakers for my computer. They’re perfect! The next morning, we woke up and opened gifts from Santa – I got a new keyboard and a car stereo. They’re both great. Not to mention this snazzy new watch:

This watch and more like it found at Tokyoflash.com. After gift opening, we got ready to go see our relatives in Minnesota for lunch/dinner/more gift opening. We picked up Veronica and went to Aunt Kathleen and Uncle Fred’s house.

We ate, played games, and watched the snow fall. At Grandma and Grandpa’s house we opened more gifts. I got God of War II, lots of Borders and Best Buy gift cards, and a few other things. It was a lot of fun. The day after Christmas, after shoveling, we installed my new car stereo (which took a while). But now it’s all installed and it’s great! I picked Veronica up and we went to the mall. I got some books with my Borders gift card: The Know-It-All by A.J. Jacobs and Why Do Men Have Nipples? I also ordered Akira vol. 1. Can’t wait to read them! After that, I got Balls of Fury at Best Buy. Then, we went and saw I Am Legend. I had no idea what it was about, but I like Will Smith and Larry said it was very good. So, we saw it. Veronica was shaking and scared the whole time, but it was very good and well done. I haven’t read the book, but I suppose I should. Also, the movie was quite sad.

After the movie, I went to hang up my new poster I got for Christmas. Yay Dwight!

Haha, that Dwight. On a sad note, Rhiannon told us at work today that Waldenbooks would be closing down on January 27th when our lease expires – meaning that everyone is losing their job. After 22 years of being in the mall, the last bookstore is leaving. I’m pretty sad, I really liked working at Waldens.

Oh, these signs came in today:

Our store is not nearly big enough to have an “Only 5 minutes from here“ sign and in fact I found it pretty funny so I took one and put it on my door.
