It’s Little Sibs Weekend at UWEC! That means that little siblings are coming to campus to spend the weekend with their big sibs. My sister came today. First, we ate lunch and went and saw where I worked. Then, after that we watched Garden State.
After Bryan got off work, we met up with him and his little sib. We trekked up to his dorm and then went back down to go find some food on Water St. We went to Jeff and Jim’s, ordered pizzas and waited for them to get done. Then, we went and ate them at the Haas park. After supper, we went back up to Bryan’s dorm while waiting for The Dark Side of Oz to start. Supposedly, when watched with Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon album playing in the background, The Wizard of Oz syncs up perfectly. So, we were all very excited to see this.
Unfortunately, I have to say that it was horrifically awful. It was torture. It did NOT sync up at all. And here’s the good part: The Dark Side of the Moon is about 1/3rd the length of the movie. That means when they ran out of music, they restarted the album. We heard the same songs THREE TIMES. And there was no dialoge in the film at all, just the music. I think that they could have played Fade to Black 40 times in a row and it would have had the same effect.
Sad, I was really hoping this one would be true. I have no idea what people are thinking when they say “it matches perfectly.”
